Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Bobby Locklear. I’m married with four children, and I’m a carpenter by trade.
Blogging has served as a rewarding discipline that organizes my thoughts and gives shape to my ideas. The practice is informal and yet it provides accountability I couldn’t have otherwise. This blog is a part of my attempt to explore connections between seemingly disparate realities that have given form and focus to much of my life: theology and literature, faith and reason, manual labor and the life of the mind, family and church, love and learning, Christ and culture.
These connections have resulted in a fusion of ideas giving birth to experience. I’ve been given ample reasons for examining and clarifying my sense of vocation. I have aspirations for pursuing pastoral ministry, and I want to respond to this calling in a way that honors the shaping influences of my life and thought.
